What we collect
We collect the data needed to run the service: account details, profile information, messages, moderation events, technical logs and payment status where relevant.
Mad2Moi is designed around European hosting, limited data collection, blurred geolocation and an account deletion that anonymises your profile straight away.
We collect the data needed to run the service: account details, profile information, messages, moderation events, technical logs and payment status where relevant.
To protect members from scammers, we keep connection logs: IP address, browser or app used, device type, and a device fingerprint computed from its notification identifier (an irreversible hash: the identifier itself is not stored). They are used only to detect several accounts run by the same person and to stop a banned account from coming back from the same address or device, and only the moderation team can see them. If you choose to verify your profile with a short video, we compute a digital fingerprint of its images to spot the same video being used by several accounts; this is not facial recognition and no biometric data is created. Connection logs, IP addresses and device fingerprints are deleted 12 months after the last connection concerned; a block on an address or device is kept while it applies, then 12 months after it is lifted or expires.
We do not sell personal data and do not build an advertising profile to resell your dating behavior.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form appears at launch and ads are only personalised with your agreement; on iOS, Apple’s tracking request appears before the device advertising identifier is read, and on Android the app does not request access to it. Firebase Analytics counts app opens, screens and key actions (sign-up, login, like, match, message sent, purchase) linked to a technical account identifier, never the content of your messages, your email or your phone number. In the EU, UK and Switzerland it only starts with your consent; elsewhere it is active. This applies to app versions released after 12 October 2026; earlier versions collect analytics from launch. Firebase Crashlytics sends technical crash reports without any account identifier. Where the consent form applies, you can review your choice in Account settings → Ad preferences.
When you delete your account, your profile is anonymised and removed from the service straight away: public username, photos, description, location, voice note, job, education and profile answers are cleared, and your password, Google or Apple sign-in and phone number are removed from the account. Your date of birth, gender and dating preferences stay attached to the anonymised profile, without name or photo. Messages you already sent remain visible to their recipients as “Deleted account”. Your original email address (or, for an account created by phone, your number) and username are kept separately for one year, as required by French law on the retention of identification data, then erased.
You can request access, rectification, export or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw your consent at any time.
